1. U.S. Army Europe's 911
The U.S. Army airborne unit based in Europe, the Southern European
Task Force (SETAF), located in Vicenza, Italy, is a rapid reaction
force, ready to respond anywhere within the U.S. European Command's
area of responsibility. It is often named USAREUR's 911. SETAF is

2. Germany's Infantry in the Future
Since 1993 and the first deployment of German troops as part of a
UN mission, the German Bundeswehr switched its focus from the
defense of German territory to UN peace support missions. The many
new tasks for the German soldiers prompted the development of the
new mission-oriented infantry-specific equipment under the program
named Infanterist der Zukunft. The article covers the new body
armor and modular combat vest, weapons and equipment of the future
German infantryman.
3. The French Marines
In this expanded article all the different units that formed the
Troupes de Marine. The French Marines is designed to operate
overseas during amphibious and airmobile operations, with 36 units
dispersed around the world, ready to deploy to hot spots like Chad,
Bosnia, Iraq. Considered elite units, a number of regiments have
participated in overseas missions during the last several
years.
4. Spain's TEDEX Bomb Squad
Considered the busiest police EOD unit in Europe, Spain's TEDEX is
based in Madrid and faces bomb threats from terrorist groups like
the Basque ETA. ETA's weapon of choice, in its 30 years, has been
the car bomb, and TEDEX answer is Kevlar, robot, and highly trained
